PALMDALE — JNR Home Improvements was recently recognized as one of the “Best Entrepreneurial Companies in America” by Entrepreneur Magazine’s Entrepreneur360 List, a premier study delivering the most comprehensive analysis of private companies in America.
Honorees were identified based on the results from a comprehensive study of independently owned companies, using a proprietary algorithm and other advanced analytics.
The algorithm was built on a balanced scorecard designed to measure five metrics reflecting major pillars of entrepreneurship — innovation, growth, leadership, impact and business valuation.
“Our annual evaluation of vetted data offers a 360-degree analysis of top privately-held companies across a multitude of industries,” Editor in Chief of Entrepreneur Magazine, Jason Feifer, said. “They are deemed successful not only by revenue numbers, but by how well-rounded they are. The companies that make the list have pushed boundaries with their innovative ideas, fostered strong company cultures, impacted their communities for the better and increased their brand awareness.”
JNR Home Improvements Founder Jeromie Roberts said the company is thrilled to have this recognition on a national level.
He subscribed to the magazine and was curious to see how his construction company would stack up against other technological giants across the country.
He submitted his financial data for the last few years, employee records and essays describing what makes his company different from the rest. Based on the study forged by Entrepreneur, JNR Home Improvements is recognized as a well-rounded company that has mastered a balance of impact, innovation, growth, leadership and value.
Since 2012, JNR Home Improvements has focused on designing and building low-maintenance outdoor living spaces in the Antelope Valley and Santa Clarita. They offer artificial turf installation, desertscape, aluminum patio covers, vinyl window replacement, concrete and interlocking pavers.
In terms of innovation, JNR Home Improvements’ success is three-fold.
First, they focus on making the customer experience a positive one.
“Creating a better customer experience is uncommon in construction and we believe that has been one of the largest factors in our growth,” Roberts said.
Next, is their systems-based approach in operations.
“This is designed to set clear expectations that meet the customer’s needs,” he added.
Lastly, is the innovative, energy-efficient products used such as their EasyTurf artificial grass.
“I knew if we started a business built on integrity and rooted in biblical principles, it would be successful and have a positive impact on anyone involved,” Roberts said. “We want to enhance the lives of both client and employee.”
He has more than 20 years experience and is constantly working on improving his skills and the company, as a whole. He is inspired daily by his wife Chrissy and two children, Sophia, 10, and Nathan, 8.
